Beginning of “The Longest Rumba of the World” in different locations of the capital, preceded by this event in other municipalities of Havana and a tribute on the 16th, carried out in Güines, to Tata Güines, one of the most prestigious Cuban percussionists, to whom the Fair pays posthumous homage next to Chano Pozo who will also be remembered among the greatest musicians of all times. This Longest Rumba that began on May 3 in Holguín and will end in Havana City on May 17 is dedicated to all great Cuban rumberos and will have the attendance of hundreds of artists who will present a wide range of Cuban music with African antecedent and especially from the generic complex: the Rumba.
Places in Havana: Los Pocitos in Marianao, Salón Rosado de la Tropical, Jesús María Park in Old Havana, Las Ruinas Alley in Cerro and Trillo Park in Centro Habana.
