The Ministry of Culture and the Cuban Institute of Music convoke CUBADISCO 2002 6th International Fair "Music, Image and Sound" that will take place on May 22-26 in the city of Havana at its main venue of Morro-Cabaña Park. This year the Fair will be devoted to the 40th anniversary of the Cuban National Art Schools and to Mexico.

The event will also be a propitious occasion to celebrate the 60th, 70th, 75th, 80th and 95th birthdays, respectively, of the famous and very dear Cuban musicians Juan Formell, Manuel Duchesne Cuzán, Guillermo Rubalcaba, Cesar Portillo de la Luz and Compay Segundo.

Cubadisco 2002 will be the right opportunity to meet music agents, entertainment managers, record producers, manufacturers and distributors, collectors and music experts from all latitudes.

Previous editions of this event have been attended by such well-known figures as Ketama, Pedro Guerra, Rosario Flores, Jarabe de Palo, Victor Victor, Sonia Silvestre, Michel Camilo, Tomatito, Joan Manuel Serrat, Luis Eduardo Aute, Iván Lins, Fito Paez and the Jobin Morelambau Quartet.
